The competition aims to reward initiatives that integrate vegetation into the living environment, whether through flowery windows, green balconies, small gardens, or collective spaces. This year, prizes were awarded in three distinct categories.
In the Green Facades category, which highlights the greening of facades, windows, and balconies, the prizes went to: 1st prize for Mrs. Ingrid Delmot-Van Hoorde, 2nd prize for Mrs. Marie Ghislain, and 3rd prize for Mrs. Agathe Nys.
The Green Shopfronts and Terraces category, rewarding the landscaping of front yards, small gardens, and commercial terraces, saw Mr. Joseph Vandekerkove-Demarque take 1st prize, followed by Mrs. Carine Lefevbre (2nd prize) and Mr. Remy Durieux (3rd prize).
Finally, the Green Villages, Neighborhoods, Streets, Squares, and Parking Areas category distinguished initiatives that green and beautify shared spaces. Mr. Fabrice Wilfart received 1st prize for the shared garden of the Kain-la-Tombe neighborhood committee, and Mrs. Estelle Delenin received 2nd prize for the Gaurain-Ramecroix neighborhood house.
The communal authorities warmly thanked all participants for their involvement, emphasizing their contribution to the beautification of the city and the presence of nature in its neighborhoods. Congratulations to the winners and well done to all participants!
