Due to the announced strong winds, the Province of Hainaut will enter yellow alert this Friday at 1 PM. As a precautionary measure, the Esplanade park, as well as the Maffle and Baron quarries, will be closed from 3 PM onwards.

In response to the weather forecast, the Province has decided to implement preventive measures. Yellow alert will be activated this Friday at 1 PM, following the expected strong winds in the region.
Consequently, the Esplanade park and the Maffle and Baron quarries will be inaccessible to the public starting from 3 PM today.
The Province advises its citizens to limit travel and take precautions to secure their property. It is recommended to firmly secure any objects that could be carried away by gusts of wind, close doors and windows, and unplug non-essential electrical appliances.
In case of material damage not involving individuals, the public is asked to call 1722 to avoid overloading the 112 emergency number.
