Excavators and trenches have been visible in Enghien Park recently. These works are part of a large-scale project to renovate public lighting and building illumination. The objective is twofold: to better highlight this exceptional heritage and to enhance the safety of the area.
The construction site involves digging trenches, particularly along the paths, for the installation of new electrical connections. Simultaneously, new water pipes and fiber optic cables are being laid, anticipating the future needs of the Park's buildings.
During the renovation period, some lights will be temporarily out of service. Construction zones will be secured, but the City advises walkers and cyclists to exercise caution.
This renovation project is supported by a regional POLLEC subsidy, as part of the Energy-Climate Plan. It is being carried out in collaboration with the Walloon Heritage Agency and a specialized lighting design firm. The work is expected to take a few more weeks.
