In response to the strong wind and gust alert issued by the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM), reaching up to 100 km/h, the City of Péruwelz has implemented safety measures.

Due to Storm Austen and the weakening of some trees from the recent drought period, an increased risk of falling branches or trees has been identified. As a safety precaution, access is strictly forbidden to all (pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles) in several natural sites within the municipality.
This prohibition will be in effect from Friday, October 23rd, at 6:00 AM to Saturday, October 24th, at 12:00 PM. The affected areas include the Plaine des Sapins in Bon-Secours, the Bois de Bon-Secours (including the parking lot at La Merci), the Parc communal Édouard Simon in Péruwelz, the Bois de Keyser in Péruwelz, and the Drève de la Verte Chasse in Péruwelz.
The City urges everyone to respect this ban and to exercise extreme caution when traveling during this windy period.
