This new service complements existing communication tools such as the Facebook page, the municipal website, and the newsletter L'As de Pecq. "This new SMS service does not replace these tools, but complements them to offer targeted information when the situation requires it," explains Mayor Aurélien Brabant.
SMS messages will be reserved for specific circumstances or information requiring rapid and direct communication, such as a local emergency, significant traffic disruption, a water or electricity outage reported to the administration, or the exceptional closure of a municipal service. The goal is to allow citizens to make arrangements in time and, in some cases, avoid unnecessary trips.
Thanks to the postal code provided during registration, the municipality can also target messages based on the affected areas. This new tool is part of a global communication strategy, with usual channels continuing to provide daily information.
Users can also indicate specific interests (mobility, festivities, culture, childhood, sport, seniors) to occasionally receive reminders or useful information related to their preferences. Registration is simple and quick, currently only requiring a postal code. Unsubscribing is possible at any time.
Residents wishing to benefit from this new service can register now via the online form available on the municipality's website.
