Approximately twenty volunteers were honored in Celles for their commitment to the elderly during the recent heatwave.

In response to the high temperatures, volunteers mobilized to look after the commune's seniors. The president of the CPAS, Sylvain Hovinne, emphasized the importance of this action: "With age, the sensation of thirst can decrease. We don't always think to drink enough, even though the body needs it. It's not a trivial gesture. It's an act of solidarity and prevention." About twenty people walked the halls, carrying cups filled with water.
In recognition of their dedication, the director of the care home, Frédéric Duquesne, wished to honor all these volunteers. After being thanked by the municipality in September, they were received at the Institut Saint-Joseph de Celles on Saturday morning.

Thank you to them for the time they dedicated to caring for our elders.
