Nearly 400 primary school students participated in the inter-school cross-country race organized by the municipality of Celles, under bright sunshine.

On Wednesday morning, all schools in the entity's territory were represented for the traditional inter-school cross-country event. This competition, organized for 15 years by the municipality of Celles with the support of the FRSEL, brought together the 5 schools in the area, across all networks.
The young participants, from 1st to 6th grade primary, competed in courses ranging from 400 meters for the youngest to 1,200 meters for the older ones. Nicolas Gustin, head of the Sports & Youth department, highlighted the demanding nature of the course he strives to design.

"From 1st to 6th grade primary, all the young people participate. As for the course, it goes from 400 meters for the youngest to 1,200 meters for the older ones. I try to trace a rather demanding one, I admit."

Nicolas Gustin · Head of the Sports & Youth department
The best performers in each category will have the opportunity to represent the municipality of Celles at the next Francophone Cross-country event in Chevetogne, scheduled for March 2027. Congratulations to the winners and to all the youngsters who laced up their sneakers for this wonderful sporting morning.
