Until October 31, 2026, residents of Braine-le-Comte are invited to participate in the Pedestrian Barometer, a national survey aimed at assessing walking and the quality of public spaces.

The survey, organized by Tous à Pied, Walk, and Voetgangersbeweging with support from the SPF Mobility and Transport, encourages citizens to share their habits, needs, and difficulties encountered while walking. Whether for commuting to work, accompanying children to school, shopping, or simply strolling, each experience is valuable for identifying necessary improvements in safety and comfort.
The City of Braine-le-Comte will receive a detailed report on the local pedestrian situation if at least 50 responses are collected within its territory. These results will help guide future considerations for priority developments to enhance pedestrian mobility.
The questionnaire is available online and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous and processed in accordance with GDPR. The full survey results will be published in early 2027.
