For a few days now, motorists traveling on Boulevard des Alliés (RN58) have been able to see unusual shapes and colors on the building of the future Sports School. Fencing has indeed been installed around the roof of the building, an area that will soon host the school's recreation yard.
Composed of thousands of colorful discs, notably featuring the five Olympic colors, this fencing brings to life several athlete silhouettes representing the different phases of a sprint. Thanks to an ingenious visual process, road users have the impression of seeing the athlete animate as they move past, from the starting blocks to the finish line, symbolized by the Sports School's logo. A second silhouette, that of a female athlete, has also been integrated on the side of the building.
Already seen in some projects in the United States, France, and the Netherlands, this type of installation makes its appearance here for the first time in Wallonia. This setup provides a strong visual identity for the future Sports School, highlighting movement, energy, and self-improvement, while echoing the establishment's sporting vocation.
