The HoReCa Hainaut Federation, in partnership with Hainaut Développement and the Centre d’Excellence des Métiers de l’Hôtellerie, is organizing the province's first professional chef competition. The final will take place on September 28, 2026.

This initiative aims to highlight the expertise, creativity, and technical mastery of culinary professionals active in Hainaut. The competition is exclusively for chefs working in establishments physically located within the province of Hainaut.
Six candidates have been selected for the grand finale. To secure their spot, they had to submit a dossier including detailed recipes, ingredient quantities, preparation and cooking times, and photographs of their creations.
During the final, held at the Centre d’Excellence des Métiers de l’Hôtellerie, the six chefs will have 4 hours to prepare and present a complete three-course menu (starter, main, dessert) for 6 guests. The starter and main must be plated on dishes provided by the organization, while the dessert allows for the candidates' free choice of plate.
Two juries will evaluate the participants: the Cuisine jury will observe the candidates during the test, assessing their technique, organization, adherence to hygiene rules, and waste reduction. The Table jury will taste the creations, evaluating flavors, cooking, creativity, and presentation.
The public is invited to discover the results of this first edition on September 28, 2026, and learn the name of Hainaut's best professional chef.
