The Agency for Quality of Life (AVIQ) is seeking an Engagement Controller (M/F/X) to join its Accounting and Budget Department. The role, based in Montignies-sur-Sambre, aims to strengthen rigorous management of commitments and adherence to budgets.
The controller's primary mission will be to ensure the regularity and compliance of submitted documents, prevent budget credits from being exceeded, and contribute to the financial report's preparation during accounting closures. Specifically, the position holder will process expense commitments and/or liquidations, and verify the accuracy of budget imputation data and credit availability.
They will also check the compliance of expenses with current laws, decrees, regulations, and contracts, encode purchase orders, commitments, invoices, and subsidies, and manage correspondence and reminders. Closing tasks include verifying supplier balances, processing pending invoices, updating commitment outstanding amounts, and preparing correction entries.
AVIQ is looking for a flexible, rigorous, methodical individual with strong teamwork skills and ease of expression. Similar professional experience and knowledge of public accounting and public procurement are advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, is required. Familiarity with the 'Public Integrated Accounting' software would be a plus.
The position is full-time (38 hours) with flexible hours, on a one-year renewable fixed-term contract. Remuneration is based on level B3/1 according to the scales of the Walloon Region. Public sector seniority will be fully counted, while a maximum of six years from the private sector will be considered.
