The City of Charleroi is launching the Neighborhood Tour, a new initiative to enhance dialogue with its residents. The goal is to meet them to hear their concerns and inform them about municipal projects.

At the heart of its commitment, the City of Charleroi is implementing the Neighborhood Tour, a participatory approach to strengthen dialogue between citizens, elected officials, and municipal services. This initiative aims to foster close collaboration to build more vibrant neighborhoods.
The main objective is to meet citizens in their own neighborhoods to listen to their experiences, observations, and ideas. These exchanges will also serve to inform residents about the City's projects and local actions, both current and planned.
Through these meetings, the City aims to improve communication with the administration, raise awareness of existing services (cleanliness, roads, security, citizen participation), and collectively identify priorities for improving the living environment in a constructive and realistic manner.
The first pilot meetings will take place in the evening in 2026 and 2027 across various Charleroi neighborhoods, including Gilly, Marchienne État, Jumet Chef Lieu, Marcinelle, Dampremy, Goutroux, Ransart, Roux, Montignies/Sambre, Mont/Marchienne (Musée de la Photographie on December 7, 2026), Lodelinsart, Gosselies, Monceau-sur-Sambre, Mont-sur-Marchienne, La Bassée, Roux, and Charleroi Centre.
The Neighborhood Tour reaffirms the City of Charleroi's commitment to placing citizens at the center of local decisions, promoting listening, dialogue, and co-construction to build the neighborhoods of tomorrow.
