Traffic on the right bank of the Escaut, on the Hérinnes side, is prohibited until October 30. This closure affects the section of the RAVeL between the Pont Bolus in Kain and the Pont de Pecq (drève Dunant). Access to the RAVeL from Léaucourt is also included.
This renovation work aims to repair areas where the concrete path is significantly degraded. A police order has been issued to formalize this temporary closure, ensuring the safety of users and the smooth progress of the work carried out by the company Delabassée.
To maintain the connection between Kain and Pecq, a detour has been established on the other bank of the Escaut, on the Esquelmes side. Cyclists, pedestrians, and other slow-lane users are invited to follow this alternative route for the duration of the works.
The ultimate goal is to provide a safer and more comfortable surface for the many users of the RAVeL by repairing the most damaged sections of the path.
