Pecq renforce son identité communale sur ses bâtiments

Commune de Pecq

The Municipality of Pecq is rolling out new signage across its communal buildings, including schools, halls, and village houses, to reinforce a shared visual identity among its five villages.

The communal buildings of Pecq are adopting a new, unified visual identity. Several facilities, including the schools in Pecq, Warcoing, and Obigies, the Maison du Village in Hérinnes, the Maison de Léaucourt, the Salle Plaza, and the Carré Saint-Joseph, have been fitted with new signs bearing the Commune's logo. These signs were produced in collaboration with the company Foliopub, based in Estaimpuis.
The aim of this initiative is to create visual consistency among buildings that may differ in style, history, or function. « The idea behind the signs is simple: to give a family resemblance to buildings with different architectures and uses », explains Mayor Aurélien Brabant.
This initial phase will be followed by the installation of new signs on the Pecq Municipal Administration and the sports facilities in Warcoing and Hérinnes. The rollout will continue as various communal buildings are renovated, notably the Maison multiservices Jules Jooris and the future nursery.
The Pecq logo, central to these signs, symbolizes the entity's geography: an interrupted pentagon representing the five villages on either side of the Escaut river. « Five villages, two banks, different histories united under one name », details Mayor Aurélien Brabant. The blue and green colors evoke water and the countryside, symbolizing a territory in motion while preserving its cherished semi-rural character.
