The Municipality of Celles is organizing a citizen meeting on Tuesday, October 20 at 7 PM to present modifications to the future high-voltage line's route and reaffirm its opposition to the project.

The route of the future high-voltage line (380,000 volts) supported by ELIA has been slightly modified. The Walloon government has approved a "preferential corridor" for this line, over 90% of which will be aerial along its 85-kilometer length.
Within the territory of Celles, modifications affect residents near the Rhosnes discharge, Haute Wimbreucq, Cheminière street, Anseroeul street, Capon street, and Becquereau street.
The Municipality invites citizens to an information and exchange meeting on Tuesday, October 20, at 7 PM, at the Concordia hall. The modified route will be presented there.
“

"Our stance hasn't changed. We continue to advocate for an underground line and a negotiated alternative solution. This is not reflected in the Walloon government's decision."

Michaël Busine · a municipal spokesperson
Municipal authorities are reaffirming their opposition to the project as validated by the Walloon Region.
