Since 2022, the Rénov’Énergie operation has been supporting citizens in Fleurus and Aiseau-Presles with their energy renovation projects, with 84 households already undertaking work.

The Rénov’Énergie operation, launched in 2022 by the Cities of Fleurus and Aiseau-Presles with the support of the cooperative CORENOVE, aims to guide citizens in improving their home's energy efficiency. The program offers personalized support, from identifying necessary works to analyzing quotes and finding financing solutions, with the goal of helping households make informed decisions and promoting local businesses.
A report updated as of September 1, 2026, shows encouraging results: 239 citizens have registered, including 154 in Fleurus and 85 in Aiseau-Presles. Of these, 173 requested quotes for their projects, and 84 households have already started their renovation work. The 2025-2026 campaign recorded 40 registrations, an increase from the previous one.
The renovations undertaken through this program offer significant savings potential. Estimates suggest an average reduction of 52% in energy consumption costs, approximately €1,800 per year per household. Environmentally, this translates to a potential decrease in CO₂ emissions of 58%, or an estimated 2.9 tonnes per year per household. The operation also supports the local economy, with an average renovation cost of €32,500 per household, and a total volume of work exceeding €2.7 million.
The current context, including the reform of Walloon grants in February 2025 which reduced basic amounts, makes this support even more valuable. Grants now cover about 19% of total work costs, compared to 40% before the reform. Rénov’Énergie helps citizens understand their options and identify suitable solutions for more comfortable and energy-efficient homes.
The momentum of Rénov’Énergie, focusing on proximity, individual support, energy savings, and local economic activity, is set to continue. The municipalities of Fleurus and Aiseau-Presles aim to further encourage home energy renovations for the benefit of citizens, their finances, and the environment.
