Réseau cyclable : la Wallonie Picarde lance une consultation citoyenne

Commune de Frasnes-lez-Anvaing

Wallonia Picarde is launching a citizen consultation to define its future strategic cycling network by 2040, inviting residents to share their cycling route experiences.

The 2040 cycling network is being designed now. Wallonia Picarde is developing its strategic cycling network for 2040, aiming to connect municipalities, train stations, schools, and workplaces. An initial version has already been created in collaboration with municipalities, regional services, and associations, based on travel data.
However, the lived experience of cyclists is missing. Current data shows where people travel but not where roads are perceived as dangerous, detours are absurd, or a simple passage would make a route feasible by bike. This is knowledge that only you possess for your own commute. Your opinion is also needed from those who do not yet cycle, as the network is also intended for them.
Until November 30th, everyone is invited to consult the current version of the network and provide feedback on what seems right, what is missing, and what poses difficulties. Each contribution submitted on the map will be examined commune by commune to establish the next version of the map.
