In response to several acts of vandalism recently observed in the Parc d’Enghien, the City has decided to temporarily enhance the site's surveillance. The aim is to preserve this heritage, prevent further damage, and ensure a pleasant and secure environment for all visitors.
This initiative involves the installation of two temporary video surveillance cameras for a period of four weeks, in addition to increased vigilance from the police services.
These devices have been installed on poles approximately five meters high, at strategic locations within the Park, particularly near the castle chapel and the Park entrance on Chaussée de Brunehault. They allow for the monitoring of certain passageways and sensitive sectors.
The measure is primarily preventive and deterrent. The visible presence of cameras, combined with enhanced police surveillance, aims to discourage malicious behavior and contribute to the preservation of this emblematic site. This temporary system complies with applicable legislation regarding video surveillance and personal data protection.
The City reminds the public that everyone's vigilance contributes to the protection of this shared heritage. Citizens are encouraged to report any damage or situations requiring the attention of municipal services by contacting the City of Enghien at 02 397 14 11 or via email at info@enghien-edingen.be. In case of emergency or for incidents requiring immediate police intervention, contact 101.
